To be honest I only recently became aware of Miami's Art Basel, where party meets contemporary art meets fashion meets a whole lot more, after watching the fabulously awful Bravo series "Gallery Girls." The reality show focused on fairly affluent twenty somethings ~~trying~~ to make it in the world of New York gallery art. Besides affirming that most of these girls were complete looney tunes, the series also convinced me of the addition of attending at least one Miami Art Basel to my much unaccomplished bucket list. The people watching to be done at Art Basel ranks right up there with fashion affiliated events worldwide. Not only does the warm weather presented by Miami foreshadow possible looks and trends for SS13 but the environment of Miami and the art world encourages equal to a little more adventure of the street style spotted at various fashion weeks. The attendance of many of my favorite fashion blogger's at this year's Art Basel I find to be very much exciting. It's a promising gesture of camaraderie by the modern art world, showcasing they don't stick their nose up at fashion lover's but can view art and fashion as somewhat synonymous, and I like that.
